I finally got around to this. About 4 hours inking it, not too bad.
People have told me I've got weak inking prowess and I'd have to agree with them, but it doesn't mean it has to stay that way. Always have to move forward.

Some artists are like those old people that wear those polyester suits because they still fit. Nothing wrong with being a self proclaimed hack, but those that adapt; survive.

I'm doing the best I can to keep my head above water in this industry so full of people more talented than me.

wow, great illustration. I wish I were as adept at inking as you are...You might think you're not as talented as some, but remember, you're still more talented than a hell of a lot of other people! :D

Swicked ink job! Although, I always find the pencil work containing much more detail (not hidden by single-tone shadows) But I'd still choose this, simply because it looks more complete. :thumbsup:

That is one awesome shot, my brother! The sense of motion from the blade stabbing through the Merman is totally dynamic. You ARE the master. As the great John Romita Sr. once said (in not so many words), "Once you think you don't need to improve your craft anymore you might as well hang it up."

A true artist is never satisfied with their work and they always strive for more, and you my friend are a true artist.
